Project Overview
Background
The new South Gwent Children’s Hospital, known locally as the Sparkle Appeal, has been constructed after many years of fund raising within the local community.
It was constructed to:
-
Enable everybody involved, with helping and supporting the children to work under one roof.
-
To achieve a modern hot desking environment, with each person having their own lockable pedestal
Successful Completion
We tendered and were awarded the contract based upon:
-
Our competitively priced products
-
Our advice redesign and general product concepts
-
Our long relationship with the Health Authority and their being aware of the quality of our products and our professional service
We provided the following furniture solutions, that after many meetings with the Project Team and many visits to our Showroom,
helped provide the working environment desired.
- Bench desking with aluminum glazed and etched screen dividers, between the desks, that provided a ‘demarcation’ line between each person, whilst retaining an open feel in the environment
- Capped storage wall positioned between each block of desking, that is accessible on both sides.
- The upper top section of the storage is utilized for lever arch storage whilst the lower section has been specially designed for each person’s lockable pedestal, to be located there.
- Each department’s chairs had a different colour fabric, to try and help create a more interesting environment.
