Project Overview
The DWP were resident in an old building that did not cater for differently abled people which effectively meant that it was not health and safety compliant. Their agent was searching for premises for them to move into to eliminate this problem. Office Visions were investigating an old Aldi Supermarket building. These two projects came together over coffee when the agent, a client of Office Visions, mentioned the DWP’s dilemma.
Office Visions and the Agent approached the DWP with a proposal illustrating how we could convert the Aldi store into a Job Centre.
We committed that despite the time constraints, we would deliver the completed project on time and within budget. The timeline was crucial as heavy penalties would be incurred under the terms of their current lease if they did not vacate.
We completed a CAT A landlord fit out attaining an EPC rating of “B” and simultaneously signed a 10-year lease with the DWP.
The DWP further instructed Office Visions to complete their internal CAT B fit out.
