Project Overview

Newydd is a charitable housing association with a vision to provide affordable homes and support sustainable communities with excellent services to tenants and customers. Office Visions were successful in winning the tender to refurbish their existing space and take additional adjacent space that also required refurbishment, in a 3-storey building at Greenmeadow Springs Business Park in South Wales. 

Included in the works where the removal of internal structural and partition walls to create a more open plan feel, repairs to the raised access floor, installation of demountable partitioning, acoustic sound barriers, decoration, flooring, new toilets, showers and tea points, suspended ceilings, window blinds and significant mechanical and electrical works to suit the new layouts.

Of overriding importance was the need for the schedule to be adhered to as the project was split into three phases – one for each floor, which included the relocation of staff from floor to floor. All parties were geared for the necessary relocations as governed by our works schedule, so the importance of meeting the schedule could not be overstated.
